week scheduals

Week1

this week i have decided to change my idea to something new this meant changing a lot of the blog and effectively starting the project again. I  have changed the idea because this was more practical with having a big cast and the idea no longer being realistic. The first thing i am going to look at is similar films to this idea . This week i have planned to blog on a variety of different film openings and too look more closely for clear intertextual links.

Week2 

i have planned this week to film the first part of the video the torture scene. I am going to write out call sheets and shot lists of what i need to film. I also need to put this together to see how its going to follow with my second idea of narrative. i will also edit some of this footage and start on some more blogging into similar products.

Week 3

i am going to film the second part of the video the stalking scene. I am going to plan for this by doing shot lists and making sure all my cast before know exactly what they are doing.After doing this i will blog and start to upload footage

Week4

i am going to start to edit footage together and build several rough cuts so i can upload these and start to get feedback

Week 5

finishing final cut and getting feedback. I will finish the video and get feedback on each rough cut and blog on this.

Cry Wolf Opening Titles

opening ident 

this was the opening ident cry wolf. It started with the titles coming up and flickering. This straight away fir with the idea of the slasher genre as it was scary. The music then begins here for the opening sequence and fades up from black and down to colour.

These titles then are shown after the first opening sequence as the story begins and we get into the actual film.
This is effective as the choice of text fits with the landscape and opening panning shot of woodland which we have just seen in the opening 2 mins of the film.

this anchors the film so we straight away see that this is the woods. the titles start with distribution companies the move onto main distribution company.
This titles are the same however they gradual get bigger then fad out. It also says production instead of presents.

The final titles that comes up is the title of the film. This is also in the panning shot however as this starts to come up this starts the shot starts to be brought into an establishing shot of the setting. The music is also lighter and not as heavy from the intro. the same theme of text is carried out and this works well with the colours and background of the forest.

Idea Update

i have decided to change my idea from the original red christmas as the idea of snow and santa costume was no longer realistic. I decided to change this to a stalking killer scene crossed with a torture scene from before and after cross cutting between. I have taken intertexuality from the babysitter , Eden lake and cry wolf. From the baby sitter i have decided to use different shot from torture scene and apply this myself. From eden lake i have taken the idea of cross cutting 2 different stories and bringing it into one as almost a flash back and finally from cry wolf i have taken out the stalking scene at the beginning where she is running through the forest and falls. I will use this in similar setting.
